I literally just found an old iPod and was bringing it back to life! Charge seems fine but syncing is definitely an issue. I am trying a few different conversion cables but have not yet got it to pop up on my Mac :/
Thanks for the prompt, I guess it was just a cable or dongle (USB C to USB A to 30 pin) issue! Your post inspired me to give it another shot and now my daughter is listening to Taylor Swift on an ancient iPod! The problem is I guess I have to hunt for another one of these for my other kid now :)

Oh weird! Which model is it, and are you looking for the iPod just in the finder or in Apple Music?
